Servitude: Most Important Message the Bible Teaches

1 Peter 4:10 says, "Use your God-given gifts to serve others."

Several months ago, I felt an urge to go out into my community, more specifically my church, and become more involved. I followed this feeling, and ended up volunteering to become counselor at my church for VBS week. Looking back on that moment now, I realize that it was God calling me to serve, and dedicate my time to Him. Right now, we're in the middle of VBS week, and everything is in full swing. I am just now realizing that I wasn't quite sure and ready for what I had signed up for. It's been a difficult week, and there have been many challenges; but this has been an amazing life changing experience for me, that has shaped and developed my faith even further and deeper. Having the ability, and power, to impact these young peoples lives and faith has been such an inspiring and humbling experience for me. It's given me a glimpse into the unconditional amount of love that God has for us, and the many ways He shows it.

I believe that God forms us to serve His purposes. We all may serve Him in different ways, but the thing that I believe is the most important is to serve with all of your heart. God is love (according to 1 John 4:8) because of this we should love to serve Him, and rejoice when we are called to!

I feel blessed and privileged to be one of God's Ambassadors to these children. Because of this I am giving this camp everything I have, and I am utilizing the gifts and talents God gave me to the best of my ability. I pray that the impact, and teachings I have given these children so far encourage and motivate them to continue to grow in their love for God.
